Pop the champers and tip your hat to marketing queen Katie May. News Limited has just announced that they’ll be buying her companies. Kidspot, a portfolio of online and offline destinations purposely built to answer the needs of women and mums, was launched just six years ago by Katie.
Since then, Kidspot (both in Aust and NZ) and birth.com.au have been the established leaders in the parenting category and now counts over 1.3 million unique monthly visitors – double the traffic of its nearest rivals. While details of the payout aren’t being disclosed, I’d say that Newsltd will be spending a pretty penny. Well done girl!
