Meet YOUR Personal Trainer

This awesome site allows you to find a personal trainer anywhere in Australia but it offers much more than just an online directory. Apart from always being super current(there’s nothing worse than using a directory and half the information, web-links and phone numbers are out of date), Meet Your Personal Trainer lets you view videos of all of these trainers, so that you already know what you’re in for.

PLUS, there are excellent ‘How To’ videos – explaining the perfect push up to tone your arms, showing basic pole dance moves, motivating health success stories, correct and efficient boxing techniques and many, many more.

I caught up with Meet Your Personal Trainer Co-Founder Richard Marc Toutounji in his Sydney office recently.

Over a cup of green tea, relaxing on their comfy couches, I realised what an inspiring vibe the Meet Your Pty Ltd team had. There was a positive energy to the office and plenty of frequent laughter. A huge bowl of fruit sat in the corner and I was quickly offered a piece of chocolate to go with my tea.

“70% dark of course, and not too much!” Richard said with a wink.

The walls were adorned with huge canvasses with quotes written on them:

“Better to live one year as a tiger than 100 as a sheep”

“You cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore”

“It’s not whether you get knocked down – It’s whether you get up!”

Richard has been in the fitness industry for over 10 years and developed the website with the vision to connect both fitness professionals and the community together via online video profiles. Richard has an obvious and infectious passion for health and wellness and has previously owned one of Australia’s leading Corporate Wellness Companies, has authored a book “Please Mum, Don’t Supersize Me!” and presented seminars on Social Media and Online Marketing around Australia. With an extensive background and knowledge of the industry, Richard combined his skills, knowledge and passion for health and wellness to create Meet Your Personal Trainer, which is now ranked number 1 on Google for the term personal trainer.

Why did you start Meet Your Personal Trainer?

We really wanted to bring together all of these fantastic fitness professionals that we have in Australia and make it easy for everyone in the community to meet them. Anyone wanting to do something active can find fitness professionals and information via online video profiles. We established the ‘How To’ Fitness Library which consists of hundreds of fitness instructional videos provided by real qualified trainers, to give people ideas for new fitness regimes and there are also informative articles and blogs all about fitness and health.

How do you think your site helps people achieve their fitness, health and weight goals?

The ‘How To’ library is absolutely free for anyone to use. Individuals can get ideas for training or get started just by viewing the online videos that will help them kick start fitness programs – and it won’t cost them a cent!

Also, with a wide range of specialities on the directory, you can not only find a personal trainer but can also find other Fitness services that you can join to assist with achieving your goals such as an outdoor fitness group, a gym, pilates class, tai chi, yoga class, bootcamp, boxing class or ladies only fitness classes.

What are the best assets of your site and what do they offer visitors?

Our Video Profiles and How to Videos of trainers and gyms are totally unique. Many people who look for a Personal Trainer or Gym want to know what a training style is like before walking into a gym or personal training session. With the video profiles on Meet Your Personal Trainer, individuals can really do their research, sitting in the comfort of their home watching videos.

Niiice google ranking – how long did that take and any hot tips you can offer to any other business owners out there?

Hard work is the best tip we can provide. We have a really great SEO team who works continually on ensuring our rankings are definitely seen on Google and other search engines.  Another tip for business owners is to use videos online to connect with your clients on a more personal level.
